Rachel is such a great editor and author.
I love the insightful care she takes with our products.

I began my writing career in the basement office of The Concordian, my college newspaper and still the best writing job I've ever had. I wrote in the nonprofit and government sectors after college, drafting official communications to the President of the United States and Members of Congress in DC. I finally gave in and went into the family business, becoming a high school English teacher. Read more about my work experience below.
Now, I'm combining those professional worlds by creating content exclusively for Language Arts and Social Studies classrooms. I have written and edited textbooks, teachers' guides, lesson plans, and so much more. I have developed curriculum, written standardized tests, and adapted content to ever-changing standards in dozens of states. I have created professional development workshops to help teachers create more equitable learning environments. But I will always be a teacher first, and students will always be at the center of everything I do.
Take a look at the samples of my education writing and editing work on this page, and then reach out directly to talk more.
